The cop said my headlights weren't on at night (true), but he also said I was texting and driving (I wasn't). He charged me for both traffic offenses. In court, I got him to admit he could not remember why he thought I was texting and driving because the alleged incident occurred almost a year ago and for his notes, all he took down was that my headlights weren't on. Cops aren't very good at handling cross-examination, which resulted in some heated exchange.
